Glasgow Tigers 55 Newcastle Diamonds 38

Another fine win for the Tigers last Sunday. Great performance from David McAllan, goading Shane Parker into breaking his own track record in the process. Robert Ksiezak is coming good again and Michael Coles had yet another fine meeting. Big talking point was the coming together of Lee Dicken and Josef Franc in heat 12. Whilst I believe Lee felt he'd been bumped, I saw it more as a racing incident and the ref voted with her feet and gave the benefit to the home rider. You couldn't say he didn't deserve the points, fending off the far faster Franc for most of the race before their elliptical orbits around the Ashfield shale collided at the end of lap 3. If I didn't know better, I'd have said Franc and Dicken had planned the ensuing events beforehand, with Lee dusting himself down and making for his opponent who had stayed on and was rolling round to the start line after the race had been stopped. I'll stick the Youtube footage up in a bit....
Anyway, maximum for Parker again and after a while where he was missing out on them, he seems to be back in the groove. Long may it last.
