Congratulations to former Tiger George Stancl on winning Sundays Ashfield Classic and retaining the title he won two years ago. Both he and Kauko Nieminen were consistently the best riders on the day, both entering the final with 14 points. Young Czech rider Filip Sitera took everyone by surprise with some storming and incredibly brave rides, eventually finishing 2nd to his countryman Stancl in the final. Watch out for him riding in Britain in the next few seasons.

A special mention to Lee Dicken, who many thought would be outclassed by most of the better PL riders on display. He wasn't. Not a bit of it. On another day he'd have had three wins, but as it was, he had to content himself with 8 points and by far the best Tigers rider on the day.

We all want Lee in the team next season. It's just where exactly, that might prove problematic.
