A weak Tigers side pushed Workington to a degree, but they were never ahead at any point and the Comets always had enough in the tank. Their reserves performed a good deal better than they did on their last trip north, though this time it was Glasgow's turn to be let down by their tail end. Adam McKinna looked to be a different rider to the one who scooped big points for Redcar at Ashfield a few weeks ago, and Mitchell Davey continued to disappoint. He may have sorted his bike handling problems, but he looked weak out of the gate and didn't have the pace to challenge anyone.

Guest rider Adrian Rymel put in a fine performance, as did Robert Ksiezak weighing in with another double figure score. Trent Leverington took some time to get going and eventually ran out with a decent 8 point haul. Big Lee contributed 7, but the lack of scoring from the two reserve riders killed any chance of victory.

For the Comets, Daniel Nermark was in blistering form, making a number of fantastic passing manoeuvres, with Kauko Niemenin and Carl Stonehewer providing big points too. The difference though, was in the lesser places. John Branney pulled in eight points, and even the luckless Tommi Reima managed three.
