Glasgow Tigers 52 Rye House Rockets 41

Trent has some fun after his heat 14 win

Feels great to see the team back on track again. Never really looked like losing this one, though Woffindens six pointer brought the teams back within touching distance of each other and another few bad heats and things could have been very different. Josh and Trent were in stunning form, Lee looked to be in a pretty bullish mood, never giving up, even if it was his team mate in front of him =D, and Anders took a nasty tumble, but still pulled in five (paid nine). Stoney once again played his part with a hard fought nine points, Robert looked to be 'off his feed' as it were, only clocking four. Mitchell took his usual three points with a 2nd and a 3rd place.

Everyone is pitching in. Josh is working well from reserve, Lee seems to be making himself at home in the main body of the team and while Robert had a bad afternoon, Trent was there to shore up the gaps. If they can both hit between 7-10 per match, we'll be doing alright.

The new signing, Peter Juul looked pretty nippy in the 2nd half, giving Gary Beaton a few good races. Not sure where we're going to put him with Ross Brady still to re-enter the frame, but that's something to think on later, a happy headache as it were. The track, newly altered on the entry and exit of the bends to accomodate the widening of the Ashfield Juniors football pitch, hasn't seemed to catch too many out, certainly not our visitors and Tai Woffinden showed once again just why many people are tipping him for Elite League success and beyond. He was just in a class of his own, only a poor start and a stubborn Trent Leverington stopping him from taking his maximum. Special mentions also for Chris Neath and Rye No7 Luke Bowen who looked pacey all afternoon.

Lioness hasn't got her site updated yet, so it's off to the official site for the scorecard

I won't be at the Mildenhall meeting next weekend. I'm off to sunny (with a little luck) East Lothian to take in some road racing at East Fortune. Snapper and the Glasgow Unofficial site will, as usual be doing their usual stellar job of covering the meeting, so fear not.......(unless you can't get enough of my iffy photies.......=D)

The team take the plaudits. Don't know what Trent's so happy about, we'll be looking for a maximum off him next week........... ;)
