I was going to do a bit of a piece about todays meeting, but it's late, I'm tired and to be honest, I'd just be waffling self indulgently. For today's scorecard and meeting report, just pop over to the Unofficial Glasgow Speedway site.
Rider Ratings.................
Robert Ksiezak (12+1) - Almost a flawless meeting for Robert. Looked to be on for a paid max, but he missed the gate in the final heat.
Lee Dicken (6+1) - Put in his usual hard grafting shift and came away with a heat win, a paid win and a third place. Once again, his effort wasn't matched by his points haul.
Shane Parker (12) - Like he was never away. Four seemingly effortless victories, and I think theres more to come. Once he gets back to 100% fitness, we'll be unstoppable. (cue derision and laughter from Monarchs fans. We'll see............... ;D)
Anders Andersen (1) - Another tough meeting for Anders. Didn't appear for the parade due to machine problems, then just didn't seem to get any decent starts. Denied a point in heat 5 by the narrowest of margins, he finally scored in heat 14, beating Mitchell Davey into last place. Some confidence building at reserve should do him the world of good.
Trent Leverington (15) - Trent was absolutely on it today. Great starts and plenty of pace to keep ahead of the admittedly uninspired Potters heat leaders. Another great performance in a season that's seeing certain riders stamp their mark in Shane Parkers abscence.
Mitchell Davey (5)- A fine win in heat 2, followed up by a couple of third places. A great ride in heat 7, where he kept Ben Barker at bay for two and a half laps to let Trent build up a lead and limit the damage of the Stoke tactical ride to 4 points.
Josh Grajczonek (5+1) - Obviously still a bit battered after his crash at Scunny, but he rode sensibly to pick up a paid win and three thirds.
