First of all, an apology for the lower than normal standard of the photos. The light was non-existent and my camera simply isn't up to the job. I've tidied them up as best I can, but there's only so much turd polishing you can do in the circumstances............... :(
Quite enjoyed last nights wee meeting all told. Got in late, but not too late, as it was only starting heat 5, due to some unfortunate incidents (sad not to see Nick Morris in action, hope he's ok after what some folk said was a horrible crash on the 4th bend)
Anyway, got in just in time to see big Lee come from 3rd and take the impressive Simon Neilsen on the line for his 2nd win of the evening. The Vikings squad scored consistently throughout, though it was the double figure scores of Mitchell Davey & Lee Dicken that did the damage for Glasgow. It has to be said that Glasgow 2nd half regulars, Gary Beaton & Robert McNeil showed as well as their Nordic counterparts and looked good against much touted opposition . Anders looked to be on for a decent score until he skelped the 3rd/4th bend fence late on in proceedings. He was soon up on his feet and demonstrating via the medium of mime, exactly what happened to his compatriots as they walked back to the pits, much to the amusement of all on the 3rd bend.
Full report of the meeting and scorecard can be found at the Unofficial Glasgow Speedway site.
I'll post up some video clips soon. Cheers!
